Whew! Mr. Toastee and I have been traveling all over the place lately! We recently returned from Maker Faire in California....what an experience that was! We had such a good time with our fellow Plush Teamers and made some new friends too!

Mr. Toastee's favorite part of Maker Faire was the food...he loved the Gumbo!

You may have noticed that I haven't been too active lately. It's not because I'm lazy - I've actually been getting ready for my first BIG craft show - OddMall! Last year, Mr. Toastee was lucky enough to be able to help Stacie S. at the North East Wine Fest at Heritage Wine Cellars. He was able to help because he is over the legal drinking age for toast!

Wow! I didn't know that he could drive one of these! Look at him moving the wine:

Happy New year! We are tired of snow!!!

Mr. Toastee and I just got back from our Holiday vacation. We had a lot of fun and got to see lots of family and friends! We drove to Cranberry, PA, then to Wheeling, WV, then back to Cranberry, PA, then up to Erie, Pa, and then all the way back home. That's a lot of driving...and Mr. Toastee didn't help at all!!

Keeping Toastee in the Snow

Well, this weekend we got hit with the big snowstorm in the North East US. We got more snow this weekend than we usually do in an entire winter! Mr. Toastee was so excited to see snow falling on Saturday morning, that he put his Cincinnati Bengals scarf on and ran outside....and got buried in the snow ^_^
Since it was snowing so much and my car was pretty much buried, we decided to stay home and do some baking:

Sunday morning, the sun was out and the snow finally stopped. We dug out the cards and made snow angels and snow toastees in the snow ^_^

Because he did such a great job as ringbearer at Ross and Andrea's wedding, Eric and Katie were kind enough to ask Mr. Toastee to be the ringbearer at their wedding as well! It was a beautiful wedding, the bride and groom looked fabulous, new friends were made, and a good time was had by all!

S'more Toastee fun in Maine

After all the outdoor fun Mr. Toastee and Sir Francis had with Katie and Eric, it was time to just hang out and make some of their favorite treats....s'mores!

Looks like they got a little confused while making s'mores. You're supposed to toast the marshmallows, n0t the Toastee!!

But don't worry - no Toastees were harmed ^_^

Mr. Toastee should know better....if you play with fire, you're gonna pee the bed!

Sir Francis and Mr Toasee did eventually make real s'mores and eat them ^_^

After partaking in delicious s'mores, they enjoyed the second book from the Dark Tower series...oh Roland!

Looks like they had a lot of fun up in Maine! Mr. Toastee and Sir Francis really hope Katie and Eric will take them up again sometime!

Monsters in Maine

This Summer, Katie and Eric took Mr. Toastee and his friend, Creepy Breakfast Monster on a trip up to Maine!

OBX part 1

As you may have guessed from previous posts, Mr. Toastee and I recently took a vacation to the Outer Banks in NC. I had not been down there for about 13 years, and Mr. Toastee was never there. We stayed in the most beautiful house right on the beach, and my whole family was there too. We all had a great time!

Here we are in the entertainment room watching the season premier of John and Kate Plus 8 on the big screen...it's a guilty pleasure:

A New Species of Mr. Toastee found in the Outer Banks!!!

Check this out! I stumbled across a new species of Mr. Toastee while I was vacationing last week in the Outer Banks - a Peanut butter and Grape Jellyfish Mr. Toastee! He was just chilling out on the beach when I saw him from afar. He consists of 2 slices of Toastee bread, a layer of peanut butter and a layer of grape jellyfish. He doesn't sting like other jellyfish and he's quite soft, not goopy. I heard that there are also strawberry varieties too, but I haven't found one just yet ^_^

Mr. Toastee in Wonderland....Dutch Wonderland

Mr Toastee, Mr. Nanner, and friends recently went on a trip with Liana and her family to my neck of the woods - Lancaster PA. Here is what he had to say about his awesome trip:

I started my vacation at Dutch Wonderland:

The sister of the boy who bought me scared me half to death. Here we are on a roller coaster and she is dangling me off the side. Sheesh!

Thankfully we made it back safe and sound.

This is my Fourth of July picture. Don't I look patriotic?

For some reason the boy thought it was my birthday. I tried to take a bite of the cake, but it tasted like cardboard. YUCK!!!

Here I am riding in a boat with my good friend Mr. Nanner. He belongs to the girl that hung me out the window. I didn't see her hang him out the window....HMPH

There was some sort of Yummy Pancake convention going on. The sister had a ton of them stuffed in a backpack. It was good to see all my friends.

Here I am at the chocolate factory. Thankfully all the hungry people there wanted chocolate and not toast!

I wanted to take this car for a spin, but security told me that I wasn't old enough. Can you imagine? I am of legal toast drinking age and they won't let me drive a car. Not very fair.

Toastee and Jelly

This weekend, my friend Andrea came down and we took Mr. Toastee to one of his most favorite places - Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, PA. He loves all the shops there, but his favorite is the Jam and Relish shop.

Here he is posing by his favorite kind of jelly - Garlic Herb. He says he uses this to keep the vampires away:

We also found something there we never saw before - pickled watermelon rind. We weren't brave enough to try it though:

Mr. Toastee gets Crafty in Nature

This weekend, Mr. Toastee and I were really busy getting ready for Crafty By Nature at Shupp's Grove. He was a huge help! He help me tag all the plush that I had up for adoption. He was also really excited because we were sharing a space with Manly Knitting. Eric of Manly Knitting had made Mr. Toastee his own set of chain mail so Mr. Toastee wore it to the craft show!

Here he is helping me set up my table. He kept all the plushies in order:

Overall, we had a really fun day. It was a beautiful day to be hanging out in the woods!

The Toast of Bethlehem

Recently, my husband and I took Mr. Toastee with us on a trip to Bethlehem, PA to check out the new Sands Casino that just opened and to have a nice anniversary dinner at Emeril's Chophouse Restaurant in the casino.

Mr Toastee just loves the little soaps and shampoos that the hotels have! They are just his size!

Mr. Toastee decided to take a shower before we went to the casino to freshen up a bit:

Unfortunately, we only had a dinner reservation for 2 at Emeril's, so Mr. Toastee wasn't able to have dinner with us. But he was okay with that....it have him more time to play the slot machines in the casino. As you can see, he didn't do that great. He left the casino with 14 cents:

When we got back to the hotel, Mr. Toastee took a relaxing bubble bath in the whirlpool tub to take his mind off the money he lost at the casino:

Mr Toastee then took a trip to the Wegman's for some delicious brew and chilled out with a new friend of his for the rest of the evening:

Mr Toastee's Magazine Debut!

Mr Toastee is super excited as he is featured in STUFFED magazine's piece on Yummy Pancake. woot! He spent the weekend celebrating and having fun at a couple DMB concerts in Pittsburgh! He'll share the pictures from Pittsburgh later ^_^ The Summer 2009 STUFFED magazine hits the stands on July 1st....make sure you pick yourself up a copy ^_^

Mr. Toastee goes Shopping at the Mall of America

Sonia L was nice enough to take Mr. Toastee along with her to the Mall of America where they had tons of fun!

She first brought him to Nickelodeon's amusement park and had him take a picture with Spongebob. She thinks Mr. Toatstee really liked the statue's philosophy which said, "Think happy!":

She also took him to the new American Girls store where Mr. Toastee was practically in heaven because all the things that were just his size. He was so excited that he wanted to get his hair done at the AmericanGirls hair salon, but Sonia had to remind Mr. Toastee that he didn't have any hair:

They also stopped by the Sanrio store where Mr. Toastee got to meet Kuromiin person:

Mr. Toastee also tried to surprise Sonia by popping out of a Hello Kitty toaster:

Their final stop was Legoland where Mr. Toastee got to meet Lego doggy named Fido:

Fido tried to eat up Mr. Toastee because he was so delicious! Luckily, Mr. Toastee was also saved by a Lego Star Wars Boba Fett who picked him up just before Fido lapped him up with his tongue:

Viva Las Vegas Toastee

Recently, Stacie S. took Mr. Toastee with her to Las Vegas. Man, I wish I was able to travel as much as Mr. Toastee! Once again, he had a great time....he loves playing the slot machines!

When he finally got into his room, he relaxed on the couch a bit before hitting the casino. He had to get his mind in the zone:

And if I'm not mistaken, I believe this is outside of the Mirage(it's been a few years sine I've been to Vegas and it changes so much each time!):

Mr. Toastee the Happy Camper

Mr. Toastee recently went camping with Kelly M and had an awesome time! As you can see, Kelly even let him drive her VW bus...beep beep:

He also found a bird nest in a tree and decided to investigate. Good thing the birds weren't using it anymore:

Memorial Day with Mr. Toastee

This week's post is a day late as Mr. Toastee went down to Baltimore with us to visit my bro, his wife, the baby that's going to be coming out of her tummy soon, and also my parents who were down there visiting. We had a cook-out and Mr. Toastee was a big help! He loves to grill!

Mr Toastee helped us shuck the corn, but someone threw him in the bag with the corn husks. I'm not going to name names....

Mr. Toastee started up the grill for us:

Since Mr Toastee doesn't have hands, he had to check the heat of the grill by laying in it....this is not recommended.

Once the food was all ready, Mr. Toastee called everyone inside for a delicious feat of steaks, corn, and my Dad's delicious pasta salad:

A good time was had by all! It's always nice to spend the holidays with family ^_^

A day at BrewFest

Last weekend, Chad and I took Mr. Toastee to the First Annual BrewFest at Mount Hope Winery. As I have mentioned before, Mr. Toastee was able to go as he is of the legal drinking age for toast. There were lots of great local and national beers to try as well as some delicious German, Irish, and American food! A good time was had by all!

Celebrating May at the Fairy Festival!

Last weekend, Mr. Toastee and one of his many twins, took a trip to the Fairy Festival at Spoutwood Farm in Glen Rock, PA. They, of course, had to dress up like I did, So one Mr. Toastee dawned fairy wings, while the other decided to wear his chainmail armor made for him by the ultra talented Eric of Manly Knitting. Even though it rained the ENTIRE DAY, they had a blast!

Mr. Toastee really had a great time at Disney with Stacie S! One of his favorite parts was visiting all of the "countries" at Epcot Center!

Stacie S. recently went on vacation to Disney World with Mr. Toastee! I was soooooo jealous! They had a great time and Mr. Toastee even made a few new friends! Stacie sent me so many great pictures, so the next few weeks, I'll be posting all about his adventures in Disney!

This weekend, Mr Toastee and I took a trip up to Erie, PA for my Sister-in-law's baby shower. He was really excited to give her the gift he got on woot.com. He even wrapped it all by himself(with a little help from me).

Well, this week it was finally time to trade in my old car for a new ride. I took Mr. Toastee with me, and he was very helpful in getting me a good deal on my new vehicle. Who knew he was so good at wheeling and dealing?? He test drove it, and then went back and forth with the salesman until we got what we wanted for the trade-in, and until they came down in price on the new car. Since he was such a big help, I told him I'd let him take it for a spin every now and then ^_^

Kim P. emailed me and let me know that among his many other talents, Mr Toastee can drive trains too!! On a bit of a nostalgia trip on the weekend, She and her husband went to visit a miniature train club he used to go to as a child, and took Mr Toastee - before they knew it he was driving the trains around!! Doesn't that look like fun?? All aboard the Toastee Train!

Chris F. sent this picture along - apparently Mr. Toastee had a few too many labatts and decided to take a trip to Netflix. What a silly toast! He does like to travel though, and his small size allows him to travel in ways that humans can't. Chris hopes that he'll bring him back a movie from his queue.!

Chris F. sent me this picture of Mr. Toastee playing Wii. He said that Mr. Toastee tried his luck at Wii bowling, and surprisingly does pretty well for a breakfast food. Thankfully he was smart enough to use the wii security strap too. Chris is also hoping to teach Mr. Toastee how to play Madden - I wonder how that is going?

Stacie S. sent me a message the other day letting me know that She took Mr. Toastee on vacation with her to Florida! Man, I wish I was down in that warm weather too! Poker Night!

This week, Mr. Toastee invited some of his friends over, Rye, 12 Grain, and his BFF the pink fuzzy Wibby Woo(thanks abbydid!). Mr. Toastee was doing good until the dreaded pair of eights came up on on the flop and he went all in(he had an 8 in his hand which gave him 3 of a kind). Rye called him and he ended up with 3 kings. Then the Wibbly Woo ate the cards and they all went out for ice cream ^_^

Video Game Fun

Mr. Nanner came to visit Mr. Toastee this weekend to watch the Daytona 500. They are both rooting for the #14 Office Depot Chevy....go Tony Stewart! Since the race took so long to begin, they decided to play some Gears of War on the XBox360:

They weren't doing too well at that game so they switched to Guitar Hero....which proved to be a challenge, but they found that they could do it if they worked together to play the guitar ^_^

This weekend I took Mr. Toastee out to buy Valentines for his family and friends. He bought one for everyone....even his sworn enemy, Mr. Pastree. So we sat down this morning and wrote, addressed and stamped all his valentines. You should see the extra special one he got for Mrs. Toastee!
